WWE fans have been stunned due to Braun Strowman’s shocking release from WWE. The former WWE Universal Champion is best known for his commanding presence and insane strength, and has become a regular fixture in the promotion’s heavyweight scene.

It is expected that he could return to the company, as seen in 2022 when he came back after being initially released in June 2021. However, there are some signs that The Monster Among Men may soon return his way back to WWE:

Rehiring former Superstars by WWE

WWE always is seen rehiring previously released Superstars, as was seen after Braun Strowman’s 2021 release. It maintains a long history of rehiring previously Superstars. So, there can be a change that WWE could rehire Braun Strowman.

Further, the Stamford-based promotion may be gearing up to offer second chances to talents who have remained active in the pro wrestling scene. WWE will look to capitalise on his star power if he returns to the ring.

Braun Strowman’s in-ring performances

The reason for Braun Strowman’s recent exit was exposed, and he didmn’t exit from WWE because of his poor performances inside the squared circle. As per the Industry report, Strowman’s high salary led to his release. If WWE goes for a new contract and reaches a common ground with Strowman. So, there is the possibility of the veteran returning to WWE’s ring.

Bray Wyatt’ Connection

Braun Strowman and Bray Wyatt were very close, and their bond indeed resonated with fans. WWE honoured the late superstar’s legacy through tributes and the formation of the faction i.e. Wyatt Sicks. The Monster could be recalled as incorporating Wyatt’s influence alongside narratives and characters like Bray’s real-life brother, Bo Dallas.

WWE’s partnership with TNA

WWE’s partnership with TNA could open he doors for cross-promotional returns. It was seen with Matt and Jeff Hardy when they paid a visit to NXT earlier in 2025. If he makes a superb run in the promotion, WWE could re-sign him for a main roster comeback.
