BCCI has appointed Shubman Gill as captain of India’s Test team. With this, he becomes he fifth-youngest player to captain India’s Test team. He will be the skipper against England at Leeds on June 20. Following Rohit Sharma’s retirement from Test cricket, he will lead the five-match series, which is scheduled to be held in England.

Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi was India’s youngest Test captain, who led the team at 21 years and 77 days in 1962 against the West Indies.
