Chennai Super Kings ended its IPL 2025 campaign with a huge win against Gujarat Titans on May 25, 2025, Sunday. MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings finished at the bottom of the table as it finished behind ninth-placed Rajasthan Royals on Net Run Rate.
Dhoni was appointed as CSK skipper midway through the season after the injury of captain Ruturaj Gaikwad. Dhoni scored 196 runs from 13 innings at a strike rate of 135.17. In this season, he hit 12 fours and 12 sixes in the season, while striking at 151.72 in the death overs. CSK Captain MS Dhoni took five catches and completed five stumpings in the season.
He scored the highest runs, 30 not out, against Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru. The best batting of MS Dhoni was against Lucknow Super Giants, where he made a match-winning 26 runs in 11 balls in a chase.
