West Indies’ Matthew Forde has made history by smashing the joint-fastest One-Day International 50 against Ireland in Dublin on May 23, 2025. During the second ODI, Matthew Forde scored his half-century in 16 balls, and he has also equalled Ab de Villiers’ 16-ball fifty against West Indies in Johannesburg in 2015.

He played an innings of 58 off 19 balls in the 47th over. In his knock, he hit two fours and eight sixes, with only two singles. The 23-year-old players helped them to reach 352 for eight in 50 overs and gave the visitors the perfect opportunity to level the three-match series.
