Auqib Nabi has become only the 3rd bowler to achieve a hat-trick in a Duleep Trophy game. Before this, Kapil Dev (for North Zone vs West Zone, 1978-79) and Sairaj Bahutule (West Zone vs East Zone, 2001) made this record.
Nabi took the wickets of Virat Singh, Manishi, and Mukhtar Hussain to complete the hat-trick. The 28-year-old then removed Mohammed Shami to finish the innings with five for 28.
