Real Madrid legend Raul has decided to leave the club as its youth academy coach, the La Liga side said on Tuesday, May 26, 2025. Raul led the Spanish national team as a player, has gave most of his professional career at Madrid. During his career, he has won 16 trophies with Los Blancos.

The club released a statement:
“Real Madrid is proud to have had one of the greatest legends in our history and world football as a coach and trainer at our youth academy,”
“Raúl also exemplifies all the values of Real Madrid. Values that he has also passed on as a coach: he coached Cadete B (U15s) and Juvenil B (U18s) in the 2018-2019 season. Since then, he has coached Castilla. In August 2020, he also coached Juvenil A (U19s), the team that won the Youth League,”

Raúl González Blanco is a Spanish football manager and has played as a forward. Presently, he is serving as the current manager of Real Madrid Castilla, the reserve team of La Liga club Real Madrid. He has been the all-time top scorer for Real Madrid, the Spain national team, and has the most goals in the UEFA Champions League.
